Privacy policy
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003). In this policy we explain how we process your data on our website www.haslingerhof.it and when you contact us or make a booking.
1. Controller
Haslinger Hof
Markus Haslinger (sole proprietorship)
Schweinssteg 5/A
39015 St. Leonhard in Passeier (BZ)
South Tyrol, Italy
Email: info@haslingerhof.it
2. Contact by email, telephone or WhatsApp
If you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we process the information you give us in order to answer your enquiry and prepare a booking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry concerns a stay, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
Our emails are handled by Microsoft 365 of Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited.
If you write to us via WhatsApp, the provider WhatsApp Ireland Limited also processes your data, including your telephone number. Data may also be transferred to the USA. You can find more information in the WhatsApp privacy policy. If you prefer to avoid this, you can also reach us by email.
3. Online booking via Smoobu
For online booking, the booking window of Smoobu is embedded on the pages “Book now”, “Jetzt Buchen” and “Prenota ora”. The provider is Smoobu GmbH, Pappelallee 78/79, 10437 Berlin, Germany. When you open these pages, your browser connects to Smoobu’s servers, and technical data such as your IP address is transmitted. Smoobu may set technically necessary cookies in the booking window.
The information you enter when booking (for example your name, contact details, travel dates and number of guests) is processed by Smoobu on our behalf so that we can handle your booking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual measures).
4. Reporting to authorities as required by law
During your stay on our farm, we are required by law to pass certain personal data on to public bodies. This applies in particular to:
- the local police authority, to fulfil the statutory duty to register guests under Italian law,
- the Südtiroler Bauernbund (South Tyrolean Farmers’ Association), for administrative and statistical purposes in connection with farm holiday accommodation.
As a rule, the following data is transmitted: first name and surname, date of birth, nationality, travel document number, arrival and departure dates and the purpose of the stay. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation).
5. Hosting and server log files
Our website is hosted by Neue Medien Münnich GmbH (ALL-INKL.COM), Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany; the servers are located in data centres in Dresden. Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores information in so-called log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser, operating system and the page you came from. This data is used exclusively to operate the website securely and reliably and is not combined with other data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
6. Cookies
Our website only uses technically necessary cookies:
- pll_language: remembers whether you are using the website in German, Italian or English (duration one year),
- moove_gdpr_popup: stores your choice in the cookie notice,
- a Matomo cookie, only if you object to the statistics (section 7): stores your objection.
No consent is required for technically necessary cookies (Art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics purposes. You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time; the website may then only work to a limited extent.
7. Statistics with Matomo
To understand how our website is used, we use the statistics program Matomo. It runs directly within our website; the data is stored exclusively in our own database with the hosting provider named above, in Germany. It is not passed on to third parties.
Matomo works without cookies. Your IP address is shortened by two bytes before it is stored, and a “Do Not Track” setting activated in your browser is respected. The following is recorded: the shortened IP address and the approximate location derived from it (country, region and town), date and time, the pages visited, the page you came from, browser, operating system, screen resolution and language setting. The data of individual visits is deleted automatically after 180 days; after that, only aggregated reports remain.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to improve our offer. According to the guidelines of the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali of 10 June 2021, such measurements are treated in the same way as technical cookies, because we only evaluate them in aggregated form and for our own offer.
If you do not want to be recorded, you can object here:
Opt-out complete; your visits to this website will not be recorded by the Web Analytics tool. Note that if you clear your cookies, delete the opt-out cookie, or if you change computers or Web browsers, you will need to perform the opt-out procedure again.
You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
The tracking opt-out feature requires cookies to be enabled.
8. Directions and map
The map on the booking pages is an image stored on our own server (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors). Viewing it does not transmit any data to third parties. Only when you click on “Directions in Google Maps” does Google Maps open, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In that case the Google privacy policy applies.
9. Link to Instagram
Our website contains a link to our Instagram profile. No connection to Instagram is established when you visit our website. Only when you click on the link are you taken to Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited).
10. Storage period
We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or required by law. Data relating to bookings and stays is generally kept for 10 years (tax regulations).
11. Your rights
You have the right to access your stored data, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability and the right to object to processing. Simply write to us at info@haslingerhof.it.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it.
